Morgoth A soul as dark as pitch and the mightiest being in Arda. At one time he was the most talented and powerful of all the Valar. Yet, he has squandered his gifts in pursuit of his burning desire to control the wills of others and be called lord of Ea. Jealously guarding the stolen Silmarils which he wears in his iron crown, he dwells in his deep fortress of Angband, awaiting the day that he shall march his long-prepared armies forth. 20 15 4 4 0 2 square visibility.
Sauron Second only to Morgoth in cunning and darkness of thought, he is the Dark Lord's chief lieutenant. A powerful sorcerer, lord of werewolves, he is much feared among the Eldar. None may stand before him in single combat. . . 16 10 4 3 2 2 square visibility. Ignores city walls. Defense doubled vs Eagles. Ignores ZoC. May attack Eagles.

Ungoliant Spawn The offspring of Ungoliant, the foul Power that aided Morgoth in the rape of the Silmarils and the Darkening of Valinor. Her offspring now belch forth black vapors and horrible blinding darkness. Woe to the traveler who tarries in that land. . . 12 8 1 1 5 2 square visibility.
Orcs The foot-soldiers of the Black Foe. These foul creatures are believed to be the perverted offspring of long tortured and tormented Elves. Perhaps the most despicable creation of Morgoth.
